Simona Bogoevska is currently an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Skopje, University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius, specializing in structural analysis and data-driven identification and monitoring of structures. She graduated top of her class in 2009 with a BSc in Civil Engineering and continued her MSc studies with a perfect GPA.
In 2011, she began her doctoral studies at the SEEFORM International PhD School, supported by a DAAD scholarship. She earned her PhD in Technical Sciences with distinction (summa cum laude) in 2020 from Ruhr University Bochum, Germany, with a dissertation on wind turbine diagnostics based on holistic, data-driven structural health monitoring methods. Her work was jointly supervised by experts from Ruhr University Bochum, ETH Zurich, and UKIM Skopje.
Dr. Bogoevska has further developed her expertise through research stays at top-ranked European institutions including TU Vienna, Ruhr University Bochum, and ETH Zurich. She is the author of over 40 scientific publications in the fields of structural monitoring, vibration analysis, and earthquake engineering, and has supervised five master's theses. In recognition of her research excellence, she was awarded the prestigious “Professor Zerna” Prize in 2020 for the best doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Ruhr University Bochum.
